To Know Christ, To Grow in Christ, To Share Christ

Missions

Oak Forest supports local and global mission projects:
  • A church member updated about the Pill Bottle Ministry on July 2, 2017. Mr. Claiborne Hill has challenged members to collect loose change in pill bottles or really any container. In June he turned in $170.00 with $40 going toward the Dragonfly House and $130 going to church member and former summer youth intern Monica Elder for her World Mission Trip.
  • Church members collected nearly 1000 children's books during a drive in Spring 2017. The books went to Smart Start of Davidson County.
  • Crisis Ministry of Davidson County - monthly meals are prepared and served by various groups to the shelter in Lexington, NC. And bags of sugar and flour are collected monthly.
  • Helping Hands - provides help (household and financial) to eligible community members
  • Timeless Food Ministry - provides meals to members of Oak Forest going through a temporary hard situation like a death or hospitalization.
