Music

At Oak Forest, there are several music opportunities. Members are welcome to join any group.
No experience required!

The adult handbell choir practices three times per month on the first, third and fourth Sundays at 6pm between late August and end of May. While a team effort, the group is directed by Betty Hughes.
 
The Adult Handbell choir needs an additional player for 2017. Rehearsals are three times/month on Sunday evenings and you do not have to know how to read music! Contact Betty Hughes at 336-409-5212.
      
 
 
The chancel choir practices every Wednesday at 7pm in the sanctuary. The group sings on Sundays at the 10:30am service and is directed by Linda Anthony.
 
 
The Power Up Praise Band practices every Wednesday at 7:45 pm in the Family Life Center. Members include singers, guitar players, drummer, keyboard player and the sound team. The group performs on Sundays at the 8:30am service.
  
 
 
The Silent Worship group, made up of youth members, practices as needed. Members interpret a song through sign language and hand movements. The group typically performs for special events or days.
