Donation Opportunities

Oak Forest members like to serve our world and in order to do that, donations are needed! Typically there are plastic bins or boxes in the Family Life Center lobby and the Sanctuary narthex for donations. Here are some items that the church collects monthly and at special times throughout the year:
  • B.E.A.R. Closet - baby equipment, wipes, diapers, clothing and money donations. This ministry helps local families with babies and young children.
  • Cindy Daniel, a member of the Handbell choir is carrying on her mother's legacy in a project called Donna Love Deliveries. This is a project that gives to people who are homeless or in need. Items needed are Travel Size: body wash/washcloth, tooth brush/tooth paste, women wipes & tampons, hand sanitizer, hand wipes, hair brush, hair bands, bug spray, toilet paper, band aids, antiseptic, first aid kits, flashlights and AA batteries. Also puzzles, mini Bibles for adults and coloring books, puzzles, crayons, stuffed animals for children. For both adults and children - accepting socks, underwear, hats, gloves, hand warmers, blankets. Donations also accepted online. Please bring to Drive-In service or to the church office.
  • Every first Sunday - Grains for Davidson County Crisis Ministry. Two-pound bags of flour and sugar.
  • Every second Sunday - NOT currently collecting! Healthy snacks for Hospice of Davidson County. Individually wrapped, non-perishable snacks like crackers.
